Metering
Base load
The power a home draws continuously, even when empty: fridge, freezer, ventilation, router, standby. In the order of 200 to 300 W in a Belgian house, it is the only guaranteed self-consumption of a household away during the day — around 1.5 kWh over the 11:00 to 17:00 window, where a 4 kWp system produces more than ten on a June day.
Also known as: baseload, standing consumption
