Third-party investor
An operator that finances, installs and maintains a photovoltaic installation on someone else's roof, is remunerated on the electricity produced, then transfers the panels at the end of the contract — often about ten years. As long as it owns the output, the operator and not the occupier has the surplus at its disposal: without an express clause, the installation cannot feed any energy-sharing operation.
