Launching OptimCE: the open source platform for energy communities
We are pleased to announce the launch of OptimCE, an open source platform designed to support energy communities and renewable energy communities in their day-to-day management.
Why OptimCE?
The energy transition relies on creating energy communities across Europe. These structures allow citizens and local authorities to produce, consume and share renewable energy locally. However, managing these communities requires suitable tools: member tracking, meter management, allocation key calculation and sharing operations.
OptimCE was created to address this need with an open and transparent approach.
What OptimCE offers
The platform provides a comprehensive set of features:
- Member management: onboarding, role assignment and management of links between communities and users
- Meter tracking: centralisation of energy meter data for each member
- Allocation keys: flexible configuration of allocation and energy sharing rules
- Multi-community: a single instance to manage multiple energy communities
- Extensibility: event-driven architecture enabling integration of third-party modules
