Grid
Curtailment
A deliberate reduction of the power injected by a generating installation, imposed by the grid operator when the local grid is constrained, or chosen at the design stage. Curtailed energy simply does not exist: it can be neither injected nor shared, and no sharing agreement recovers it.
Also known as: clipping, output curtailment
