Heat-pump water heater
A domestic hot-water tank fitted with a heat pump, with a coefficient of performance between 2.5 and 3.5. For the same hot-water need it consumes about three times less electricity than a resistive tank — and therefore absorbs about three times less solar surplus.
Also known as: heat pump water heater, thermodynamic water heater
