Billing
Protected customer
A household that, because of its social situation, benefits from the social tariff and from specific protections. Federal protected customers — recipients of certain forms of public welfare assistance, of certain Federal Pension Service allowances or of disability-related allowances — generally obtain it automatically through data matching. Regional protected customers must request a certificate and pass it to their grid operator. Increased-reimbursement status alone has not conferred this entitlement since 1 July 2023.
